The Experience
Go back to basics on this two day survival weekend experience. On this course you will develop skills that will enable you to survive in the wilderness, anywhere in the world.
The skills you will learn include:
- Learning how to build your own shelter and insulate it using natural resources
- Making a fire using flint and steel, how to cook on it and use it for rescue purposes
- Acquiring food from the wild
- Sourcing water and how to make it safe to use and store it
- A range of navigation skills and signals to help you stay safe and survive.
This survival weekend experience is perfect for beginners and those who have some experience that require a bit of a refreshment of their knowledge.
Vital Information
Minimum age for this course is 16. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a full paying adult. Please do not bring any food as it will be provided for you. Please let us know when you book the course if you have any dietary requirements, we can cater for all requirements as long as we know during the date booking process.
The Weather
This course is designed to help you survive in all weather conditions.
Session Length
This course lasts for two days and one full night. It will start at 10am on the first day and typically finishes at around 4pm on the second day.
Numbers
This voucher is valid for one person to take the course on selected dates across the country. You will share the course with other participants.
Spectators
No spectators are allowed.
What To Wear
A full survival kit list will be provided once your wilderness survival course is booked and confirmed. The basic kit you will need to provide is: waterproof jacket & trousers, suitable footwear, knife, torch, billy can or cooking pot, drinking cup/mug and a water bottle. You will also need a sleeping bag, a bivi bag and a basha or tarp. Option to hire specific goods is available.
